Fastbraces® in Randolph

If you’ve been wanting to straighten your teeth but have been reluctant to commit to the time that standard orthodontics require, then consider Fastbraces from Randolph Dental Care. As the name obviously implies, these braces are faster because they straighten teeth somewhat differently than typical orthodontics.

Orthodontic Basics

Ordinary braces have metal brackets and archwires. Brackets are the components of braces that are bonded to your teeth to hold the archwires in place. Fastbraces also use metal brackets and wires. The difference is in the shape of the brackets.

Traditional braces have brackets that are square and move your teeth over the course of several stages. Usually, the crowns of your teeth are aligned first and then the roots are moved to an upright position. This multiple stage approach takes more time.

Fastbraces Breakthrough

Fastbraces, on the other hand, uses brackets that are triangular in shape—a small adjustment that makes a big difference. With triangular shaped brackets there is a larger distance between one bracket and the next. This greater distance allows the archwire to have more flexibility.

As a result, the roots of your teeth can be moved upright from the beginning of treatment even as the crowns of your teeth are moved into proper alignment. The two separate stages of treatment become unnecessary with Fastbraces.

The Fastbraces Process

As with traditional braces, treatment begins with a comprehensive set of x-rays, digital photographs and molded impressions of your teeth. Dr. Goldstein uses these to create a customized treatment plan for you. Once Fastbraces are applied to your teeth, you can anticipate a treatment time that lasts approximately 6 months. No need to think about years of wearing braces with Fastbraces!

Like traditional braces, Fastbraces can treat a number of orthodontic concerns ranging from rotated and overcrowded teeth to overbites, crossbites and underbites.

Fastbraces Options

The mainstay for treatment with Fastbraces is the standard triangular metal bracket. For more discerning patients, we can now offer other Fastbraces options. Fastbraces Ceramic Clear™ provides the same quality orthodontic treatment in a more discreet fashion that makes your braces barely visible. Fastbraces Ceramic Clear uses tooth-colored brackets and clear wires to move your teeth.

For patients who are looking for treatment that is faster than fast there is now Fastbraces Turbo™, which require even less time that the standard Fastbraces.
