Sedation &
Sleep Dentistry

Patient relaxing after sedation dentistry treatment

Dr. Goldstein is certified by the NJ State Board of Dentistry (Permit #180) to provide sedation dentistry. Instead of going to sleep, you take a pill the night before and the morning of your appointment to relax you. Most importantly, you forget most, if not all, of what took place during your appointment.

For patients wanting a deeper feeling, we offer sleep dentistry. We have a board-certified anesthesiologist (Dr. Glen Atlas) who administers IV sedation. Dr. Atlas is a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist, is on staff at UMDNJ, is a full professor, and has over 25 years of experience in the field. The sedation will make you feel drowsy. Once you become drowsy, all feelings of anxiety will dissipate. Usually, patients remember little from the actual procedure, which is considered a great benefit. For either option, you will need a ride to and from the dental office.

As you know, avoiding regular dental care often leads to needless pain and expense. If you've been avoiding dental care, then consider sedation dentistry. We can restore your smile and repair your self-confidence.
